I purchased one for my grandson who wanted to know more about the Black heritage. He is in the 5th grade and is familiar with his maternal side of the family but wanted more information on the paternal (black) side of the family heritage. He had to do an essay and guess what, yes, the calendar helped him prepare for his subject matter. I am looking forward to purchasing one for my home and another one for him. He is actually saving them as a collection!! - Mother Batups
This calendar in one word: DYNAMIC! It has far exceeded my expectations. Last year I had to buy two - my kids stole mine! This year I will just buy three in the beginning! - Janice Waller
My organization partnered with the staff of the Black Facts Calendar to utilize the Calendar as a fundraiser last year. It was a HUGE success! Our organization raised a ton of money and there was total buy-in from the kids and parents - Antoinette McClain

Four years ago the 365 Days of Black Facts Calendar was created to inspire, uplift, and encourage the youth around the world and to let them know that contributions of African Americans extend beyond that of being athletes, drug-dealers, gang members and entertainers. I knew then, through empirical research, what a number of dissertations and thesis’ are being written on today, essentially: when one racial group develops a set of positive schema about another racial group - respect and rapport are developed. For this reason, Christa McAuliffe High School, which is located inside of the Challenger Memorial Youth Center (the juvenile hall in Lancaster) has purchased a 2013 edition of the calendar for every classroom and administrator’s office on their campus.
